This plan contains four key areas for the development of SEM systems:

1.       Day 1+ Project: SEMO and TSOs

2.       SEM Potential Developments and Changes

3.       SEM Design Authority

4.       SEMO Website

In the ten months of operation to date a substantial number of modifications and changes have been made and are continuing to be made. A number of these changes are being implemented as part of the scope of the Day 1+ project. This project is well underway at this point and an update is provided in Section 2.

This MSDP identifies a number of proposals for future development in addition to the detail of current changes that are ongoing within the scope of Day 1+. It is also expected that the RAs will approve a number of modifications to the T&SC which will necessitate additional changes to the central market systems. The MSDP addresses potential changes from modifications and also enhancements to the systems that are currently beyond those identified. These proposed changes are outlined in Section 3.

In addition to current and proposed changes to the Market Systems, this MSDP also incorporates detail about other SEMO proposed developments and areas for discussion. These include the development of a SEM Design Authority, as outlined in Section 4, the development of the enduring SEMO website, as discussed in Section 5 and a brief reference to  Renewables and Interconnectors in Section 6.
